Our Mission:

Partnering With Parents To Achieve Academic Success And Develop Christ-Like Character

Partnering With Parents

A key to the success at NCS has been the partnership it shares with the parents of our students. In effort to realize this goal, we promote regular communication between the classroom teachers and parents, and we present various in and out-of-school volunteer opportunities. Viewing the educational process as a team effort has enriched the entire school and allowed for greater academic success for each of our students.

Academic Success

At NCS we recognize that God has made each student unique, with differing strengths and needs. As a faculty we are committed to see that every student will be challenged and realize substantial growth (success) from their own unique point of readiness. The teachers work collaboratively and are proactive at providing a quality education that is rooted in assessment and multiple approaches which includes whole-class, group, and sometimes individual instruction. Teachers meet weekly as a staff to discuss current educational practices, and all teachers collaborate regularly with each other, administration, and support staff to discuss and develop individual student instructional plans. At NCS we define academic success as GROWTH, and we strive to set the educational stage in a way that will result in the most growth for each individual student!

Christ-like Character

In many cases what separates NCS from others is our strong commitment to the spiritual growth of our students, and therefore, a primary focus of our school’s mission deals with the development of our students’ character. Throughout the course of the year, Christ-like characteristics like honesty, obedience, kindness, respect, forgiveness, thankfulness, perseverance and others are introduced to the children. These qualities are presented and studied formally in the classrooms using a Bible curriculum of practical life-application lessons for the growing young child. Additionally, the students participate in a school-wide weekly chapel program where various teachers, parents and community members enrich our spiritual development.

At the core of all the formal and informal character instruction, is a faculty committed to the modeling and demonstration of Christ’s work in their own life and a desire for each student to develop Christ-like character.
