The Charles Finney School

  in Penfield is a non-denominational Christian day school serving student in kindergarten through 12th grade. Finney’s outstanding staff and small class sizes allow the school to maintain a family-like atmosphere where each student’s talents are discovered and fostered, and creative, innovative learning is encouraged. Our diverse student body represents a wide range of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds as well as every school district in our area and scores of local churches. We offer a core curriculum in English Language Arts, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Religious Studies, and Social Studies as well as elective courses in Computers, Robotics, Fine Arts and Music. At the high school level, students have access to a variety of Advanced Placement courses, which allow students to earn college credit during high school. Our high school students rank among the top in our area in terms of SAT scores and college attendance rates. Students also participate in a wide variety of extra curricular activities including dramatic productions and Section V athletics. In 2007 our Boys Varsity Basketball team won the NYS Class D Championship, for the second consecutive year.
